The frame is turned in the classical Louis XVI manner, four slender fluted legs finished in pale ivory with gilded caps, meeting a circular seat upholstered in a blue and white medallion fabric that mirrors the decorative language of French porcelain. A delicate border of hand-applied brass nail heads traces the circumference of the seat, the only ornament the piece requires.
