The French Empire Crystal Basket Candle Chandelier is a grand, multi-tiered crystal chandelier in the tradition of nineteenth-century European palaces, combining a classic Empire basket silhouette with sweeping glass-sleeved candle arms. It is available in gold or chrome and in three sizes, from 47 to 71 inches in diameter, for foyers, staircases, dining rooms and double-height living spaces.

In the palaces of Napoleonic France, light was architecture. Chandeliers were designed as cascades of crystal: a crown at the ceiling, strands of glass falling like a veil, and a basket of prisms gathering the light below. This chandelier follows that composition. Beaded crystal strands descend from a jeweled crown to a full crystal basket, while tiers of curved, glass-sleeved arms extend outward, each holding a candle-style light and hung with teardrop pendants and swagged garlands, a nod to the Maria Theresa chandeliers of Bohemia.

Lit at night, every prism scatters light across walls and ceilings, filling a room with the shimmer of a grand hotel ballroom.
