This garniture set is finished in a dense, jeweled enamel technique, with hundreds of raised dots in blue, white, and pink covering the surface like a mosaic of tiny gems. Set within each raised dot pattern, an oval reserve panel opens onto a warm gold ground, painted with an exotic bird perched among branches.

This jeweled porcelain technique, developed by Sèvres in the 19th century, was among the most labor-intensive decorative methods in French porcelain, each dot applied and fired individually to build up the raised, gem-like surface. Gilt bronze mounts finish every piece, from dragon-form handles to scrolled feet, echoing the ornament found throughout Homedor's other French garniture sets.

The set spans seven forms, a scalloped jardinière, a table lamp, a lidded urn, a flared vase, a twin-handled vase, an amphora, and a lidded ginger jar, each carrying the same jeweled ground and painted bird panel.
