There is a particular palette that belongs to no single culture and yet feels immediately at home in the grandest interiors of both East and West. Iron red, soft coral, sage green and white, the colors of Famille Rose porcelain, were born in the imperial kilns of 18th-century China and carried westward by trading ships whose cargo changed the decorative arts of Europe forever.

This collection brings together six objects united by that palette and elevated by ormolu. The octagonal tray, the basket-handle covered jar, the rectangular covered box, the shell cendrier, the oval pot-pourri and the pierced trinket box each carry the Famille Rose vocabulary of iron red peonies, flowering branches and delicate foliate compositions across their porcelain surfaces. The ormolu mounts tell a parallel story, basket handles, pierced collars, scrolled acanthus feet and animal details cast with the precision of European gilded bronze at its most inventive, placing each piece at the exact intersection of Chinese decorative tradition and Western craft.

Together they form a complete surface arrangement, equally at home on a dressing table, a console, a library desk or a dining sideboard. Each piece holds its own. Together they hold a room.
