A hand painted blue and white porcelain panel wraps the border of this French Rococo picture frame, its delicate floral scrollwork rendered in soft cobalt tones reminiscent of classic European porcelain traditions. Cascading gilt bronze scrollwork crowns the top and curls into slender feet at the base, framing the porcelain in the same asymmetrical, light handed ornament that defines Rococo design.

More sculptural object than simple frame, it brings a sense of old world craftsmanship to a favorite photograph or miniature painting, equally at home on a bedside table, a writing desk, or nestled among a collected display of smaller treasures.
